Solar Grants & Incentive Schemes

We are an MCS registered company which allows our customers to apply for Government funding.
Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)
The UK Government's Renewable Heat Incentive scheme (RHI) is designed to encourage people to install renewable technologies. For Solar Thermal there are two phases.
Phase 1: From 21st July 2011 customers will be eligible to apply for a Premium Payment of £300.00 towards the cost of the solar thermal installation.
Phase 2: From October 2012 the Government plans a yearly payment based on the amount of energy customers produce.
Householders will need to ensure that they satisfy certain criteria such as having basic energy efficiency measures in place like loft and cavity wall insulation and funding will be on a first come first served basis. You can read more information about the RHI Premium Payment on the Energy Saving Trust website.
Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS)
The MCS is an EN45011 certification scheme which complies with the government criteria for eligibility to access financial incentives. It is focused on ensuring the quality of renewable technology installations and products.
It is important that customers ensure that both their installation company and the products they are installing are approved by MCS. This will ensure the quality of the product and installation and the eligibility for the government financial incentives.
